Chia Pudding

Chocolate Chia Pudding

Method:
Di gelas kaca, hangatkan 1 cup skim milk di microwave. Masukkan 3 sdm chia seeds, 1 sdm unsweetened cocoa powder, 1 sdm liquid sweetener (gw pake agave nectar), dan 2 drops of vanilla extract. Aduk rata sampai semua tercampur, masukkan ke kulkas selama semalam. Besoknya tekstur chia nya jadi mirip gel deh.

Vanilla Honey Yogurt Chia Pudding

Method
Tuangkan 1 cup honey yogurt ke dalam wadah. Tambahkan dengan 1/2 cup skim milk, aduk rata. Masukkan 4 sdm chia seeds dan 2 drops vanilla extract. Aduk rata, refrigerate overnight.

Gampang banget kaaann... Biasanya di resep2 sih liquid nya pake almond milk, tapi gw lebih suka skim milk. Selamat mencoba!

Happy Tuesday!

Perth kembali gloomy, pagi cerah eeh tiba-tiba siangnya ujan.

Bener kaan, akhir2nya eneg sendiri sama eskrim wahahaha... Kl boleh milih, next time gw mau pake eskrim yg blueberry cheesecake aja ah, enak bangeet seger nggak bosen makannya. Daaan low fat lhoooo!

Pulang2 gw ngeliat tumpukan wrapping paper yg kmrn beli di Carousel. Cita2nya emang gw pengen bikin sendiri goody bags yg nanti diisi pernak-pernik lucuk2 untuk sepupu2 gw yg berbaik hati jadi penerima tamu. Karena tangan udh gatel pengen bikin2, dipaksain deh berprakarya malem ini, bikin 1 dulu buat contoh biar ada bayangan jadinya nanti kayak apa.

Jadinya cantik yaaa, feminiiin banget, cocok deh buat sepupu2 gw.. Tadinya pengen pake kertas yg motif pohon juga, tapi diliat2 kok kayak terlalu 'laki' gitu. Besok2 lanjut bikin lagi, soalnya malem ini gak sangguuupp bikin 16 goody bags, udh pegel juga soalnya abis bantuin Yusuf bikin pecel buat bekal kita besok.

Besok2 bangun udh hari Rabu, lusa nya udh Jumat. Oohh weekend is just around the corner!

There's Always Something About Macarons

Went to Fremantle Market last week and spotted this cute macarons patisserie, just right next to the famous ramen restaurant. Too bad I can't remember the name, and I think it's only just been opened for a few weeks so I couldn't find the details in Freo Market's website either.. Anyway, I love the way they display the macarons, it's just sooo pretty! Ooh, and the shabby-chic kind-of-interior really brings me to Paris (which I've never been to but I'm guessing their bakeries would look like this? :p)

Dessert with a touch of femininity :)

Don't you just love how they look?

See, it brings you to Paris, right? Right?

Quite a pricey dessert

Macarons is actually too sweet for my taste. But I couldn't resist to buy some, only because they look.... emmm... too appetizing. Boyfriend decided to try their Cannelle (I forgot to take the picture, duuh!) which turned out to taste wonderful! It's a cake with caramelized and crusty texture outside, but in the inside is more like a... baked custard (??). I've never had something like that before so I don't exactly know how to describe it, LOL. Ooh, now I'm craving for one!

Thinly-sliced Beef BBQ

Chicken BBQ and The Bomb: Dried Squid Kimchi

Spinach a la Yusuf. Yum yummm!

Lho kok enak. Besok-besok bikin lagi yoook..

MYOB (Make Your Own Brunch)

Have you ever wondered how much you could save if you make your own brunch? Eating out at a fancy cafe is surely a fun thing to do on the weekends, but it comes with a considerably higher price as well. You'd expected to spend around $15 - $18 for a plate of Eggs Benedict. Now compare to how much I spent on the ingredients at Woolworths:

Note: Haloumi Cheese and tomatoes are optional

So'm saving at least $8 per serve. Ha! As I think about it, that $8 is the price you pay for the cafe atmosphere, the service, the perfectly poached egg and of course, a cafe-made hollandaise sauce which tastes  10 times better than the store-bought ones :D

Take a peek of my home-made Eggs Benedict. I added up the oven-baked tomatoes with haloumi cheese just because I was craving for grilled cheese and wanted to add some colours on the plate.

I cheated on the eggs: poached them in the microwave :p

It's soooo yummy but I couldn't finish it because I put too much of everything on my plate, LOL. Have a lovely weekend, everyone!
